Jordyn Funk, DMD

Dr. Jordyn’s dream as a child was to become a dentist and to give back to her patients by providing exceptional and compassionate care for those in need. Her journey began by attending Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona, which prides itself in offering its graduates a well-rounded, highly clinical education.

With this education, she entered private practice with the experience and confidence to perform all aspects of general dentistry including specialty procedures, like root canals, extractions and implants. Early in her career, Dr. Jordyn showed a strong interest in implant dentistry. Dr. Jordyn has since taken hundreds of hours in implant continuing education credits through various well-respected implant companies. She was recruited by an implant dentistry center to join their team of dentists to place, restore and teach implants. With this extensive training she placed thousands of implants while working at an implant dentistry center in Boston. She was approached by the Dean of Midwestern University, who expressed an interest in creating an implant program at his dental school. Being that Dr. Jordyn was a Midwestern University AZ- Alumni, she was eager to give back to the school that provided her such great training. She then became a co-creator of the implant program at Midwestern University Dental School. This program allowed 3rd and 4th year dental students to have the opportunity to place and restore implants. She helped place over 1000 implants while providing implant centric lectures to both staff and students.  Although she felt very fulfilled providing this education to her students, her personal goal was always to own her own dental practice. Her dreams came true in 2019 when she and her husband Dr. Taylor Funk, purchased Pinnacle Peak Dental Care. With her strong background in implants and Dr. Funk’s background in both root canals and surgery, they have taken the practice to the next level.  Dr. Jordyn was recognized in 2021 by “Incisal Edge Magazine” as being one of the top 40 dentists under the age of 40 in the United states.

Dr. Jordyn’s extensive training in implants afforded her the opportunity to give back to the underserved population in Cartagena, Colombia and here at home. She was part of a program which allowed dentists from around the world to be trained in implant dentistry on patients in Cartagena. The patients selected for this program were in need of dentistry, but financially could not afford the necessary treatment. With her goals to help those in need Dr. Funk and Dr. Jordyn have partnered with a rehabilitation center to provide dental care to patients who were previously affected by substance abuse and addiction. The patients who are eligible for this care have been free of substance abuse for 1 year or more. This program has been life changing for several patients who have not had access to dental care for several years.  Dr. Jordyn and Dr. Funk both love the outdoors, sports and traveling. They were engaged in Greece and married in Bora Bora. They both grew up near mountains and were thrilled to move back to Arizona from Chicago and have easier access to the outdoor activities they love.
